Weddings

Steeped in history and natural beauty, Mystic is an unparalleled destination for a Southeastern Connecticut wedding. Here, at the Mystic Congregational Church, at the corner of East Main Street and Broadway, you’ll find a beautiful venue to affirm and share your commitment to one another before God and celebrate the blessings of God in your life.

A local landmark built in 1860, our sanctuary is full of the charm and beauty expected in a classic New England Congregational Church. As an Open and Affirming Congregation, we welcome anyone to be married at Mystic Congregational Church. Members and non-members, gay or straight, a first marriage or second time around - we are happy to join you in celebrating your holy union.

The Service

Congregational church weddings are presided over by one of our Pastors, Rev. Christa Swenson or Rev. Aidan Kelley. Services are planned in collaboration with the couple and the Pastor in a series of pre-marital meetings with the Pastor.

Music

Music for the wedding is coordinated by our talented Director of Music, Andrew Howell and chosen in collaboration with him. On site is a magnificent pipe organ and upright piano, which may be enhanced with the addition of other musical instruments and vocalists.
