Community Life

At Mystic Congregational Church we come together to learn and grow in faith, develop meaningful relationships, reflect God’s love through good works, and strengthen the fabric of our church. From our programs for children, youth and adults, to our service to our church, local community and the world, we strive to be intentional in all we do.

As members of the body of Christ we dedicate our time, talents, and treasure to spread the good news that God is active in our world. We enjoy spending time with each other--and it shows. We offer ample opportunities to get involved in a meaningful way, and welcome you to join us.

Children's Ministries

Vibrant, lifelong faith formation is the goal of our Children’s Ministries. At Mystic Congregational Church we partner with our families to create a supportive environment for spiritual development and growth. Family participation and inclusion are at the heart of our approach, and are woven into are worship services and mission outreach.

Youth Ministries

Our Youth Ministries provide a safe haven for those in Grades 6 - 12 to explore their faith and become the individuals they believe God intended them to be. Middle Schoolers enjoy gathering for Sunday School during the worship service, as well as joining their church friends for fellowship on a regular basis. High Schoolers continue their faith formation through our Confirmation Program and a mix of social and service activities.

Adult Faith Formation

We believe that our faith is dynamic and shaped by our experiences, relationships, and communities throughout our lives. In keeping with that belief, we offer a number of Adult Faith Formation activities. Just as God is still speaking, our faith is always evolving, and we enjoy these many opportunities to share and discuss Bible texts and stories of faith.

Women's Fellowship

Meeting regularly from September to June, Women’s Fellowship at Mystic Congregational Church provides opportunities to mix, mingle, and make new friends. We enjoy getting together during speaker programs and book group discussions, which spark ideas and encourage fresh perspectives, as well as raising funds to support local charities.

Serving Others

Mystic Congregational Church provides congregants with many opportunities to serve those in need within the community and beyond. In addition to financial support of non-profit organizations, members also volunteer in a hands-on capacity through many activities including food and clothing drives, Youth Service Trips, Mystic Area Ecumenical Council, Meals on Wheels, and Church World Service.

Serving the Church

We look after each other, our congregation as a whole, our facility, and our mission and ministries by serving the church. By joining a committee, volunteering at an event, or sharing a talent like baking or flower arranging, you can contribute to the vitality of our church. Whether you’re willing to pitch on a regular basis or on the occasional Sunday, we hope you’ll consider the many service opportunities available.
